Nuquí  ·  Family Capital Design Studio

For the generations counting on you.

I design the architecture that carries a family's capital through the next ten to twenty years. Independently, without products of my own, and with one interest only: yours.

Three situations I see again and again

Each of them calls for a plan that does not exist yet

Liquidity event

The company is sold

The wealth was tied up in the company, not sitting in an account. Then, all at once, a substantial sum is in the bank.

Without structure. Without a plan. With many advisors at the door, and no one looking at the whole picture.

Generational handover

The next generation takes over

A son or daughter is asked to structure and steward the family's capital, and to build a family office around it.

Without a roadmap. Often without experience in that particular role.

Family transition

Life changes the picture

A death, a divorce, a gift, a move abroad, a partner who takes over, a reshuffling of the family shareholdings.

Each of those moments calls for a new plan.

The market reality

Wealthy families run into the same problems

Structure

  • Fragmented advice without coordination. Nobody guards the whole picture.
  • Unclear structures that grew over the years.
  • A lack of governance, mandates and clarity.

Capital

  • No asset allocation philosophy.
  • An overload of investment opportunities, or a shortage of them.
  • Limited reporting and consolidation across the entire estate.
  • Cybersecurity and privacy risks.

Family

  • Tension around capital and the decisions it forces.
  • A next generation that is insufficiently prepared.

The first advice I give is not financial advice.

Set the money aside for a moment. Take the time. Think about the architecture before you start building. I am not a wealth manager, a law firm or a tax advisor. I design the whole picture and define which specialists are needed, with which mandate, in which order and at what cost.

The question I start with

What should this capital mean for your family?

It is rarely the first question on the table. I start with it, because the answer determines what the governance looks like, how the next generation is prepared, and how the whole blueprint reads: as a human story rather than a technical document.

Why the studio exists

Families deserve someone who works only in their interest

Independence is rarely guaranteed as long as fees and products are part of the picture. I am paid by the family alone, through a project fee agreed in writing before the work starts. I accept no retrocession, introduction fee, commission or any other remuneration from a bank, advisor, fund manager or family office. Every engagement letter states this. I have nothing of my own to sell.

I design your family office. I never manage your money.

How I design a family office

Every family is different. The foundations are the same.

Eight building blocks, weighted differently for every family, and designed as one whole rather than eight separate projects.

Family dynamics
Governance
Asset allocation
Legal and tax structure
Banking and private assets
Reporting and consolidation
Cybersecurity and privacy
Next generation readiness

What I deliver

The Family Capital Blueprint

One detailed document that sets out the architecture of a family's capital and sets the direction for the next ten to twenty years. It covers the eight building blocks, weighted and sequenced for that family alone.

What it holds for your family depends entirely on your family, which is why the conversation comes first. The blueprint belongs to the family. I design, the family decides. Implementation lies with the specialists the family appoints, each with a mandate the blueprint defines.

How we start

From introduction to blueprint in three steps

Introduction

A confidential conversation about your situation, your family and your questions. Without obligation and without an agenda.

Intake

We go through the existing structures together, so that the blueprint builds on what is actually there.

Blueprint proposal

On the basis of the intake I present a proposal for the full blueprint: scope, approach, timing and fee.

Contact

An open conversation about your family, your capital and your questions

A first conversation is confidential, carries no agenda and commits you to nothing. Advisors with a family in mind are equally welcome to get in touch.
